Pre-Operative Instructions

One Week Before Surgery

  • Avoid any anti-inflammatory medications or supplements that can increase bleeding.
  • If you smoke, stop smoking to improve your healing process.
  • Refrain from consuming alcohol.

Three Days Before Surgery

  • Begin hydrating well. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water per day.
  • Do not cut your hair. Our surgeon will assess your natural hair growth during your consultation.

The Night Before Surgery

  • Ensure you get a good night’s sleep.
  • Do not eat or drink anything after midnight.

The Day of Surgery

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Avoid applying any products to your hair or scalp.
  • Arrange for someone to drive you home after the procedure.

Post-Operative Instructions

Following your hair transplant, it’s crucial to adhere to our post-operative care instructions to ensure a smooth recovery and the best possible results.

Day of Surgery (Day 0)

  • Rest with your head elevated to minimize swelling.
  • Avoid touching or washing the transplanted area.
  • Begin your prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection.

Day 1-3 Post-Surgery

  • Continue to rest with your head elevated.
  • Avoid strenuous activities and direct sunlight.
  • Gently clean the donor area with a mild cleanser as instructed.

Weeks 1-2 Post-Surgery

  • Expect scabs in the transplanted area to start falling off. Do not pick at them.
  • Gently wash your hair and scalp to help remove scabs.
  • Light exercises such as walking are permitted.

  • Avoid Scratching: Do not scratch or rub the transplanted area to prevent dislodging the grafts.
